Student Legal Services also provides a mediation service for WVU students. This service provides disputants with a neutral third party, a mediator, to help resolve disputes in a reasonable manner. Students who are interested in student mediation should contact our office.

What is mediation?

Mediation is a voluntary settlement process in which neutral third party, called a mediator, guides the disputants to a reasonable resolution of their dispute by helping them:

  • Prepare for the future

What are the advantages of mediation?

  • You save time and money (mediation is free to all eligible WVU students)
  • You make the decisions that will affect your life
  • Everyone walks away a winner
  • It helps build relationships
